battery 6v vs 12v
On your fish finder what do you use? On your bait tank what do you use? I use 12v on fish finder I use 6v on fish finder Fish finder for max reading. Bait tank I use 6v so the fish isn't stressing so much about swimming what do you use? If you have added electronics on the yak what do you have from lights to speaker system. |

I use to run my bait tank on 6v. works perfect. When I upgraded my battery to 12 volt for my fish finder, there was too much flow to properly support my bait. I put a 12 volt to 5 volt stepper in. works perfect.

12v for fish finder
6v for bait tank If you use/depend on gps then you don't want your bait tank draining your ff/gps unit's supply.

12 V for FF.
(my FF will not work at voltages below 10 V or so.) (i don't think most FF will work at voltages much below 10 V.) 6 V for bait tank, before it crashed & failed. (time for me to buy new one. ) portable FM radio, with 4 AA batteries, which totals to 6 V. good rock & roll playing, is a necessity of a great fishing trip. .
