That isn't much lead...
Wonder how many of those you'd get out of this stockpile - near 800 pounds here... Put your mold on a hot plate when you fire up the lead pot, and you can get rid of those wrinkles by running the mold hotter. ![]() |

That's a lot of lead. I place it of the hot plate open close side and I still get thoes wrinkles. I must of well just put it in the pot.

It's only my pure lead stockpile for the 45-70 Sharps. When you pour 550 grain bullets that are as large as a complete 45 acp round, 800 pounds doesnt go as far as you'd think. I have several thousand pounds of lead stacked under the workbench that I use for the other rifles. Too much crap in front of it to get a picture though....
