That isn't much lead...
Wonder how many of those you'd get out of this stockpile - near 800 pounds here... Put your mold on a hot plate when you fire up the lead pot, and you can get rid of those wrinkles by running the mold hotter.

It's only my pure lead stockpile for the 45-70 Sharps. When you pour 550 grain bullets that are as large as a complete 45 acp round, 800 pounds doesnt go as far as you'd think. I have several thousand pounds of lead stacked under the workbench that I use for the other rifles. Too much crap in front of it to get a picture though....
