From spinning reel to conventional.. recommendations?
Right now I'm comfortable using light presentations on my spinning setups but I'm thinking I should step up and get a conventional setup.

I've found myself dropping down in size of reels and going longer on the rod.
JMHO: my go to stuff most of the time... Shimano Teramar 8' Daiwa SL20-SH (65# Braid, 3' topshot) Shimano Cosair 300a (same line) The reels hold up, break down for easy cleaning, light to hold for lengths of time and almost as important as anything else (for me) priced reasonably well. You can almost always find these (3) used at even better pricing. If the nicer fish show up...bring out the larger gear. I'll never go to top of the line reels with the amount of swimming I do(w my gear)... Hope this helps.
