Hello fellow yakkers
I've only been yak fishing for about a year. and salt water fishing is fairly new to me as well. really just started saltwater fishing about 2 years ago. I have been doing a lot of fishing for halibut from the yak. but now I'm ready to start chasing WSB and YT, Looking to get down to la jolla one of these days. i keep hearing thats the place i should be taking my yak. Any tips for a La Jolla newbie? How far off shore do you go to catch YT? Looking forward to chatting with and hopefully learning from the forum members |

Welcome. You will find EVERYTHING you will need to know here. As for how far you need to go off the launch in La Jolla.... About 3/4 of a mile till you pass the buoys.

Welcome. You can learn a lot here. Ask the Team Sewer guys how the fishing in Long Beach is. It's probably the best hidden gem on the CA coastline

I'm located in Van Nuys. But always up for a drive to go fishing.
in 2 weeks I'm making a 3500mile round trip to the east side of texas to go catch some reds on the yak! Ive only fished long beach once with the yak. went out on a bad day, windy/choppy. only a few bites. Whats the story with that oil rig just off shore? |
