I had a baby sea lion pop up this morning about 2' from my side today and it made me jump. Can't imagine what my reaction to that whale would've been.

Talk about having proof of your whale encounter!
It's awesome and very cool when they cruise by at 10 yards away...that however would've been a little close for me.
