Fun stuff right there. That reel looks ancient, good on you to put it use. I'd probably be spastic using a lefty too.

When my dad retired he worked hard at switching hands for casting. I got that reel when he passed away. Maybe I can master the switch hitting also.
Silentsmell, I didn't catch any halibut yesterday but they are in the south bay most of the year. Mostly shorts but some quality as well. Like most hali fishing you'll do better with live bait. When I dedicate a trip to halibut I catch live smelt either with an umbrella net or sibiki. Mike |
