Jurassic Sport Fishing REPORT December

Were back again with another report from the Central Coast. We at Jurassic Sport fishing have been ripping Lips and going Bendo on some serious fishing. We have been fortunate to fish every week of the last two months to bring you some cool pictures and videos. We are fortunate to live in a non pressured area of the central coast that goes off on Kayaks and on the shore let alone the boat. We love to get on the water by any means possible. In the last two months we have hit Bonita, Albacore, White Sea Bass, Rock Fish, Thresher Sharks and more. The fishing gets better and better and while people are getting ready to shut down there fishing efforts to fishing closures we are just getting started.
Last month we were fortunate to meet up with Kevin Brannon from Real Anglers Fishing Show for some great filming and fun. We hit the shore fishing up in a negative tide for some intertidal Rock Fish lurking the Pockets of Mother Nature. We went bendo and even got the young Minnow Nelly on a nice Grassy Rock Fish. We also hooked up with Mike from Predator Swim Baits who loaded us up with his new line of plastics that were candy for the rock fish here on the central Coast. So we hope you enjoy the pictures that we took and I hope your getting hooked for the holidays.

Yup, I remember about a year ago or so on here there was a discussion about if cabazon came in blue also and if the blue lings/ cabazons tasted different than there brown counterparts lol

The blue tint

Most lings we get are blue but we get some nice yellow tints as well. The Cabezon come in a colar pack up here as well, best part is the meat turns white when its cooked and they still make the best Tacos. Other wise my belly hasnt turned blue yet!!!!

You are what you eat right? Or so they say....

Lived in Monterey for a few years and fished from the rocks through PG, Carmel, and along highway 1 southward. I was told by some guys that the skin/meat literally changes based on their diet. Lots of crabs and chit. Different colored crabs mean different colored meat.

any truth to that anyone know?

I've caught blue lings around Todos Santos Island, but down off Punta Colnett most of them are standard color.
