Good luck! I look forward to the report. Someday I want to fish there and throw nothing but Lunker Punkers and Triple Trouts.

lesson learned DO NOT go to Castaic if it is raining , even lightly. I was denied launching as my seat was wet. Inspections to keep out mussels require 100% dry. Fished from shore por nada. Charles graciously let me use his kayak for the afternoon.........nothing for me.

Wow that's messed up, because your seat was wet they didn't let your yak on the lake...
Almost as bad as when they didn't let me on lake peris because the rangers accused me of having a stolen kayak because I did not have the registration papers prooving it was my yak, it took me a hour to convince them it was mine and I didn't need registration on a yak....

Dumbest thing ever. I talked to Charles about this yesterday, even though water is falling from the sky your boat has to be dry...IDIOTS

Sorry the assholes ruined your morning

That sucks! I was at silverwood the other weekend when it was raining. They didn't even bother to check my yak because everything was wet. I'll have to thank them next time for their common sense.

Any thoughts on how crowded it's going to be up there this weekend?

I love silverwood, best park rangers ever there! They never give me trouble there and matter of fact they have been very helpful at times, they even give great current fishing tips if you ask.
