need help installing the dsi transducer

hi, i recently purchased a ff and i would like to know if it's ok to install inside the hull this way? or it need to be in a flat surface? thanks for the help

It will fit as it is about the size of a 410 shotgun shell. You won't get the full potential readings shooting from the inside out though. Lowrance recommends mounting it externally.

it should have come with a bracket. depending on the kayak, you can mount that thing to the back where a rudder would go. nice flat area. easy to do on malibu yaks.
