got that right... my first legal hali was caught with sheer dumb luck... throw out a fluke off shelter island at a spot i've fished at lots of times doing the same method and catching nothing but bass and very tiny baby butts and start "walking the dog" back to the car and my line stops... feels like dead weight of some grass, so i gave a small snap to set hook just in case.. and start to pull in a boot... next thing i know 15ft from me violent head shakes, and a few short runs taking line as my buddies were pulling up "FISH ON!!!" he yells jumping out the care "DO YOU NEED A NET??!!?!?!" "I THINK SO" i replied... next thing you know im holding my first legal but.....will never forget how i felt that moment... so now i pack a gaff and a net on all my escapades

I assume you're in the San Diego area, check Dana Landing across from Sea World they have them and I'm sure OEX has them as well.

Soooooo thank everyone for the help! I had some unplanned downtime between jobs today waiting on a customer and remember I had some steel rod in my garage left over..... Sooooooo out came the hammer, vise, grinder, grinding wheel and my small welder, and 20 mins later I have a game clip. Though I will eventually go to OEX to pay them a visit and some money. For now I save myself 20 bucks and a nagging from the boss lady about money spent feeshing
Pics will be posted later when I get on the compooter See ya tomalo Kat and mike! Woo hoo |
