I hope to take my yak out for the first time in the SD bay and around the bridge, what can I catch and what should I use?

Thanks,Finyak

When my wife (KatFish), kid and myself go out we all use just a dropper loop set up. 2 or 3 oz torpedo with about a foot to two feet of leader with a swivel so it doesn't twist up as bad. We let the wind and tide control our drift. We've always caught something and the different types we catch are spotted(lots of them) halibut, midshipman, lizzard(lots of them) and an occasional sand bass. Normally use size 3 hook and bait it with frozen anchovies or squid. I've thrown plastics as well just for some spotty funn.

I've only fished it once at night. Did really well, for the short time i was there, in the tidelands with gulp shrimp for spotties.
