A new Citica or used Currado would be nice. I have the 200, 300 Curado and Citica. The citica is a good casting budget reel. I have fished these 3 reels for several years in the bay. I tear down and clean every few months with corrosion X.

I would reccomend Carbontex drag washers for whatever reel you get.

If you like working on your own reels, check out the link below. It makes a noticeable difference.

They range from $8 - $20. The torium you have would cost $18 for the 4 drag washers. If you like buying local, there is shimano dealer near shelter island that sells them. The company is also based out of California.

I noticed a difference in the smoothness of the drag and less fade on long runs. My TLD reels had the most notible change with the upgrade. My baitcasters drags were already getting worn out when I upgraded them so I'm not sure how much of a difference it was compared to new, but they are butter smooth now.
