A Change From The Norm

Left my crib around 430am

Tried to make bait at the mouth of the channel and didn't have any luck, since I already had frozen squid I didn't worry about it to much and started heading to the planned location. First drop gets a few bumps but nothing to write home about, decided to reel it up and up comes weird fish number 1

Decide to make a move and as we're headed out I land weird fish number 2. I didn't realize that I had changed the color scene on my camera so the picture did not come out in its natural color.

As the morning progressed I kept moving and moving and moving and moving. Anyone that has ever fished for rockfish with me knows that I will keep moving until I find-em, a few hours later I find and a few dinks, ended up releasing roughly five shorties. Once the current shifted it was hit and miss.

Had a blast fishing with Salty Dog. I told him that I'm glad I don't drink anymore because if I did we would have gotten hammered and probably ended up in Laguna Beach.

Wierd fish #1 looks like a cross between a lizard fish and a cuda........ sort of. Sounds like a lot of work to me. At least you got some.

Jorge, good fishing with you. Next time I'll bring a 12-pack, drift into Laguna Beach, hoist up the Jolly Rogers, land at main beach, hang out with the protesting hippies on the side of PCH, make a big stink about the mlpa, get another 12-pack, drift to Dana Point, stop at Turks for drinks, figure out how to get home, and call it good........Just need a big West swell to push us along. I sure as hell ain't paddling the whole way.

Ericko, you have some super powers there! Bummer you left just when things got going. Go take a nap, you deserve it!
