Don't Do It, Its Not Worth It

Last night while I was on BWE I got a call from a really close friend that is currently suffering from cancer. When I answered she was cutting in and out and I thought we had a bad connection, I asked her to call me back and she said, "No, hold on. I'm trying to hold back my tears". I thought she was calling me in tears to tell me more bad news about her illness but that wasn't the case

Story goes.......an ex-worker of ours was on her way home from work, she was stopped at a red light when an suv rear ended her car. Apparently, the force of the impact was so great that the car burst into flames trapping our dear friend in the car, she perished in the car, they had to identify her through dental records, she was stopped at a traffic signal just down the street from her house. The driver of the suv was booked at a local jail, I'm being told he's being charged for vehicle manslaughter, he was driving drunk and just to add insult to injury, I'm being told he was OK.

Don't do it guys/gals....its not worth worth a life. not yours, our friends or our families.

That's horrible, I am sorry to hear that!
My wife and I almost died from a drunk driver back in 2001. Of course the Drunk Driver who hit us came out fine. There was one death in his car and my wife had to get cut out of our car after the roof collapsed into her.
Please keep drinking, Drink a lot, just don't drive.

Dan

I cant believe people still drive drunk, or buzzed... I have never done it, but it's not like my Sh!t dont stink, I'm guilty of driving tired & half asleep, witch I know is just as bad.
Sorry for your loss..

I have a friend just turned 21. To make matters worse he just got his license. And a truck. I'm trying to beat this message into his thick 21 year old alcohol drenched scull. Hes not getting the point ands I'm going to show him this post. Thanks george and I'm sorry a friend had to go in such an unjust way.

Sorry to hear that. I've always told my younger brother not to drink and drive cause if he killed someone, I would'nt be there for him. Well ended up crashing into a car just a block away from the house. The good thing is that it was a parked car and he did'nt hurt anyone. I hate drunk drivers. They always kill people and nothing happens to them.

Where did it happen? My grandma told me on Saturday afternoon that my uncles girlfriend son crashed into a car and they dont know if the other people died. He just got out of prison about a month ago. They have him in custody because he was under the inflence. This happened in Van Nuys, Panorama or Pacoima.

Jeorge, my condolences to you, her friends and family. This is one thread I wish I didn't read, as it brings back memories I wish I'd never seen. It's simply no way to have a loved one go. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Wow! Very sad, especially when the drunk #### is OK.

Ppl that does that type of $h1t dont know their own limit. If you know you're gonna drive, dont go beyond your "OK TO DRIVE" limit.

Again, I'm sorry to hear that.

Sorry to hear for your loss. Almost 30 years doing my job and
I could'nt even get close to count how many times I have seen
accidents where the drunk walks away and the innocent victem(s)
do not. Absolutely mind blowing!
