Open Invite SATURDAY! La Jolla 3/31
Me and Bobby (Silverbullet) are going out. On the sand 5AM, wet by hopefully 5:15. Planning to make bait and head around the corner, see how we do. If no luck maybe hit a rock pile for some Rock Fish or the kelp for Sheep/Bass We're no experts, but we have a pretty good lay of the land, and some fairly decent waypoints. So if anyone just want's to tag along, we're here to help and show you around. I would bring some fresh dead squid if you can get ahold of it incase squid can't be made, and we hit the rock piles. Text me or PM me if you would like to join. 516-884-5813 |

I would love to go next week sometime after I get my new yak. I dont have one up and running at the moment. Thanks for the kind invite. Do you guys ever make it up north a bit (oc)?
Also , do you use spray jackets and waders or wetsuits or anything ... that is early and seems pretty cold.

Check it out! That Playa hoodie normaly sells for around $120 online. I found a place that has them for $60! Only caveat is you have to wear an XL...

You guys are going to absolutely love them. Come next lobster season, these things are a life saver when hooping. The biggest advantage I've noticed is when pulling in hoop lines, your sleeves don't get wet and hold water, making your wrists cold all night. The splashing from pulling traps or fish doesn't absorb into the top, the draw string on the waste keeps you dry when launching, and they are WARM AS HELL!
At first they'll feel a little bulky, but once they get broken it it feels like a regular hoodie. |
