LJ and Bay Feb 28 2007

Short report:

Went to LJ around 8:30am, but the wind was howling. Waves weren't too bad, but the
wind chop and white caps didn't look inviting.

Went to the Bay, where it was much calmer, though still windy and a very strong tidal surge.
Casted around some of the new plastics for a single Sandie of average size.

Off the water by 1pm.

Picked up a bit of trash in the water.

I was wondering if anyone was heading out to LJ in those conditions. Thanks for the timely report. Sorry you couldn't get into a nice forkie.

Hopefully this thread won't turn for the worse.

Yea, I was going to make a comment about just casting a 6x Salas Jr. instead of
catching any bass, but I thought I'd let it go...

Actually, that shoe was huge! It was like a 13 or something. At least there wasn't a leg attached.

Just be glad you didn't find a body part with that shoe, the LEO's would have shut the bay down for 6 hours investigating.

your nonstop

your defenitly putting your time in on the water, gotta hand it to you. Good karma picking out the trash. I have a hard time with trash in the water. My feeling is, if I see it than it's my responsibility. Call it a guilt thing.

Hey Wavster, thanks for doing us all a favor with your trash run. I picked up a similar assortment my last time on the bay.

I once found a pink "My Little Pony" floating in the bay...she now rides high and proud in the bow of my kayak. Sort of like a mermaid, but, you know, pink and equine...
