The name of the video is a bit deceptive, I did not do it, we didn't catch any monster bass but we sure caught a lot of them and had a great time.

Smart disclaimer Jim!
You were going out there to catch monster bass, that was the intention.
You just ended up having fun with normal bass.

Quality footage, I like!

for those of you who have heard of this place and been been contemplating a trip...don't wait any longer...book it!!!!!
this is a must do on the bucket list...
this place is for large mouth bass, what Cedros Island is for yellowtail...
I will be going back there again for sure!

thanks for sharing Jim!

You are right Josh, a trip well worth making, great fishing and service beyond compare that left you wanting for nothing. They would even wake you early in the morning with a knock on the door and a hot cup of coffee on a tray. This is the kind of service a self reliant kayak angler is not accustomed too but could get used to. You fish from first light until noon, come in for lunch and a siesta then go back out and fish until dark. Both Lakes, Mateos and El Salto were great for top water as well as fishing the wacky worm. One of the best parts of the trip was fishing the river that ran out of Mateos, just drift and fish for hours catching tons of bass. Here are a few still shots from the trip.
