Fanual park has always been a fun producer for wide open spotty action. There are two submurged pipes that extend out into the bay that have a good about of structure around them....the longer one is directly infront of the lifeguard stand and firepit.
The other is to the east about 150yrds and its outlet is marked with a bouy and sometimes you can even see a boil there when the pump is running, the eastern pipe has a much deeper hole at the outlet and has almost always produced large spotties but that whole shoreline is usually infested with the angry little buggers....also corvina, corbina, batrays and small halis in the area but i wouldnt eat anything out of SD's bays. for baits i have always just used the 3/8 leadhead and the halloween color (or similar) 2.5" fish traps with unibutter |

I like the same area as Scally as well as above North Cove where it says Mission Bay.
