I'm sure with a Torquedo you'd have no problem timing those sets.

ya that definitely wasnt the 15-20 foot they were claiming....although i hear today is the peak of the swell so maybe it looks better today. Just wish the footage would have been shot during surfing hours instead of a bunch of heads bobbing in the water not taking waves.

Was that PB a Lifeguard or Coast Guard boat? Seems reeeaaallly irresponsible to be that close to the surf line if not.

pretty much anytime the surf gets that large they have a lifeguard boat outside the lineup, as well as additional units on shore, plus at least 1 Ambulance. Hard to tell by the video though.

There were 20 ft sets for sure. You can see it when the tiny little ants are about to get crushed underneath them. I wish my camera had a better zoom, but I am happy with the quality of picture.

Lifeguard boat outside there and then the next day it was a Sheriff boat.

ya but you have to take into account that those little ants are just heads of body surfers bobbing in the surf. Definitely big, but i dont think 20 foot. definitely saw other footage of 20 foot from that swell though, and have personally seen it well over 20 foot on a couple occasions.
