newport Jetty

Does anyone know where to launch my yak if I want to be close to the jetty? Preferably for free and no or little sand since my dolly wheels are not made for sand. Your response is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

When you go to launch walk to the end of the bathrooms and go left. There is a concrete path that goes almost to the water.

You can also launch at M Street on the peninsula by the Wedge, but there isnt much room to park at times, but if you're there early it wouldn't be a problem.

I've launched a few times down at the very end of the penninsula at the public (fishing) dock - the guys fishing have a bit of an issue at times with rolling a yak onto the small platform but it's convenient and parking isn't too bad. Started going there on occasion when the CG area was torn up.

you should. you can unload in the fire lane right next to the dock/beach then go park down the street. theres usually parking on the side street about 100yrds past the dock.
