July Sub
The only funnier thing was the guy I stumbled upon to take a photo was rolling a joint and had obviously endulged in one prior and kept telling me he was tied off to the kelp, this conversation was happening over the canyon in 200 feet of water with a two foot kelp strand connected to his kayak. Then he repeatedly asked me if I caught any fish and after he looked through the camera to take a picture he almost jumped out of kayak, he didnt know fish got that big, I said buddy this ones a baby........ 37lbs... 48in... Live Bait 75 feet of water, water temp 71 Nice fish everyone good luck in August gang... Last edited by RK; 07-31-2011 at 10:36 AM. |

Nice work...
Damn, it sure looked nasty out there in your photos, RK. I'd never fish in those kind of conditions; that's hardcore!
And congrats on your new personal best kayak fish. She's a 'beaut!

Did you loose the rod landing at Blacks in search of another type of fish, perhaps a Snapper |
