Launched from the shores as the sun was rising. Mean looking surf... took a few in the chest on the way out, but I expected that to happen. Headed straight to the kelp to make bait since the pier has been slim pickins from what I hear. Made a six pac of macs and headed for deeper water. Pretty snotty NW swell and a gusting wind out of the east. Water temp was in the low sixties. Trolling a flylined mac in 100'-150' for nothing. Moved in towards the kelp and caught a nice calico

Called it a day shortly after removing the smell of a skunk. Headed in to even nastier surf than when I launched. Made it in unscathed and home in time to watch the chargers take a first half beating.... Time to watch the rest of the train wreck
