june sub

Well many had their chance at WSB for June, and I did too but couldn't close the deal. Not for lack of trying, I was out at LJ 8 times in June and while I had several WSB hooked up it just didn't happen. Still searching for my very first WSB. I also managed to farm a couple 20lb+ Halibut locally. A month of extreme disappointment.

Fortunately I did manage some by-catch to get me on the board at least.

YT, 22lbs, 38.5", live mack:

I don't get the comment about Halibut? Why you can't submit.

Thanks for posting the pics Kenny, much better than the phone pics!

Regor, my reference to "farm" refers to screwing up and losing the fish during the fight. One popped off the other broke the line. I've gone to all spectra kelp cutting rigs this year, where usually I fish for halibut with straight 30 or 40lb mono. There is a difference on how to fight them especially when they are head-shaking, and I haven't quite tuned in my spectra skills yet. Having no stretch at all is proving difficult.
