Regor, my reference to "farm" refers to screwing up and losing the fish during the fight. One popped off the other broke the line. I've gone to all spectra kelp cutting rigs this year, where usually I fish for halibut with straight 30 or 40lb mono. There is a difference on how to fight them especially when they are head-shaking, and I haven't quite tuned in my spectra skills yet. Having no stretch at all is proving difficult. |
