no. the limit for cal is 7 lobsters per person a day. 5 is the the number of hoops you can have with you and use on your kayak.

I just got back from hoopin' tonight for the first time and I pulled up 6 shorts and two gnarly moray eels in an hour. It's as easy as everybody says and I'm sure if I would've stayed longer I could have found some legals, but nobody told me that I would have to untangle a pissed off toothy eel six inches from my nuts...
