It's a spinner shark. I spend a lot of time working out there in Florida in Cape Canaveral and they are all over the place out there. I've seen them jumping before but never that close. I have also seen a ton of black-tips out there while surfing and fishing and when the mullet start running in the summer time there are sharks everywhere. I've been out in the kayak and caught 10 or 12 in a day several times. Kind of gets annoying when you are trying to get redfish and snook and the sharks keep eating your bait. Kind of like the barracuda in La Jolla. Most of them are under 3 feet long but I've seen them up to 5 or 6 feet. No big deal on the yak but it's kind of creepy to be surfing and see a shark cruising by an arms length away.....Never been bit yet though. haha

Yeah, saw that on the news last night. Can you imagine what's going through the mind of that surfer on the right side of the pic?
