FNG from Orange County saying hi
I found this forum today at work while searching the net for ideas about how to make a bait tank for my kayak. I'm brand new to kayak fishing. I've fished the harbors for the past 8 years or so from my float tube and always wanted to get a kayak but didn't want to spend the $$. Well, I found a nice used Cobra FnD on Criags List last week for 450 and took it out twice this past weekend and think I'm going to like it. I just joined so I'm going to read for a while but wanted to introduce myself and see if there are any other people from Orange County on here. I'd like to be able to go fish with someone who has more experience kayak fishing than I do so I might be able to learn a few things. Randy |

There are 5 of us from the OC, if you want in its $100 each and every month for the 1st year plus a initiation fee that is due in full, 10 days from now. You cant opt out now so you gotta pay up or move to the 909.

Kayak fishing is a lot different than floating the harbors picking on spotties and the occasional short flattys and such. I look forward to the challenge, but more to the rewards. But I've got some learning to do that's for sure. |

Gee, thanks. lol I used to float tube Dana Pt every now and again. Haven't yak fished there yet but it would be an easy launch. Usually I would launch my tube from the West side of the marina from that little beach near the tall ships. I caught a nice Sand Bass in there two weeks ago. Not a trophy but not bad for inside the break wall. Last edited by Dunegoat; 06-01-2011 at 08:28 AM. |
