May Submission
Either I have to carry a scale on-board, bleed less, or weigh quicker (or just catch bigger fish).... she turned out to be rather light for the length. 36" (original post measured incorrectly and included total length (41") instead of just fork length) 20 lbs (weighed at OEX Mission Bay) Last edited by Regor; 05-24-2011 at 07:07 AM. |

Good job Greg!!!
I can't tell 100% from the photo but it looks like you measured total length. We always use fork length and thus based on your measurements it would seem like a very light fish. A 41" fork length fish should be somewhere in the neighborhood of high 20's to 30 lbs. |

Yes, your right. So I would say the measured length should have been more in the 36" range if I take off appx 5" for tail.

Wow, 2 first-time catches in one month! Awesome!!!!!
I don't want to see a first halibut appear tomorrow evening. On another note, don't forget to mention if you got those fish on bait or artificial. |
