Oh thanks...but I don't see anywhere on their site where "packages" are discussed? Sorry, I'm stupid.

STD or Standard refers to kayak hull only.

REC or Recreation refers to kayak hull, most likely center hatch and maybe 2 rod holders in back.

F/D or Fish & Dive refers to kayak hull, center & front hatch, 2-4 rod holders in back and 2 in front.

Some of the F/D "may" have a rudder installed, but don't hold your breath on that as this is an add-on that the factory normally does not do. There are places that you can get a rudder from online or even from OEX, so don't sweat not having one.

Just remember that if you want to set up your yak, go for the STD and purchase the add-ons as you go.

Thanks for the clarification...
I'll probably want to set things up my way and locate things for me so I'm okay with doing the add-ons later

Hey iceman...
What time do people usually start getting there?
I'm putting off something very important to be there and will be real disappointed if I come away empty handed. Sorry for all the questions.
Can I just back-door you some cash and have you set a couple aside for me?
just kidding...haha..okay, I'm serious!

I'm headed down tonight, I'll be in the red tent blasting Metallica. Paypal me some cash now and I'll hold you a spot upfront.

I went to the last sale and got a Mini-X. Some advice...

1) Get there early if you want a yak that has limited numbers. Before 7am for sure...

2) If you plan to get more than one yak it is highly advisable to bring an extra person. You have to stand next to your yak to claim it. You can't say, "Hey, Iceman, I want this Tandem and the Mini-X all the way over there."

3) Have a plan b & c. The last time I went, there was a family that brought 6-8 siblings and claimed that many kayaks. There was also a rental company I believe that rolled in with a U-Haul truck and then loaded several, upon several kayaks. I also witnessed an attractive brunette that "cut" in line and proceeded to do a tug of war with a 14 foot kayak with another lady.

4) Bring some kayak wheels in your car and know how to tie your yak properly to your vehicle. I had to help a dad strap down two Mini-Xs onto his CRV. You can load your yak in the driveway, but it can get crowded.

5) Check the yak over carefully. I know all the yaks are seaworthy, but there were some differences with each set of yaks.

6) Wear your BWE shirt if you have one...

7) Buy your accessories and even your hatches there. The prices are good.

8) Bring a camera to capture any cat fights between attractive females.

9) Be nice...it's not like you are buying Hobies

Hmm... ill be there early check!

Man, no one better cut in front of me, I am going to bring some rope and rope off the area to make a line... I hope Andy crew can handle a single file line. So he doesn't let those cutters in first.

Kayak wheels Check!

No warping yaks and no pin hole leaks Check! Only Graphic bad placement Check!

6) Wear your BWE shirt if you have one...

I don't have a BWE shirt Andy told me I couldn't get one until I bought two yaks from him.*cough* cough*

7) Buy your accessories and even your hatches there. The prices are good.

Check!

8) Bring a camera to capture any cat fights between attractive females.

Will be too busy running for my future yak! Check! Maybe ill take a picture of who is in the line to make sure they don't cut.

9) Be nice...it's not like you are buying Hobies

If i could afford a Hobie, i would be nice, but since this is what i can afford, its all the poor people rushing into walmart for kayaks. so i am going to have to be aggressive and take my yak from that brunette who cut the line.Check!

A rental company...man i hope there not in front of me. I would cry.

Iceman... If you remember out of the top of your head, did you see any blue or white x-factor fish and dive models?

My worst fear is me running in and getting to the one i want and it says warping or leak and i have to run to the next one and there all claimed. I will be sad...

Andy, will you have life vest at the sale?

You mentioned hatches, does that include gatorhatches as well and if so do you know the price or discount? Time for my daughter to start coming out with me. Thanks.

Only hatches there will be small rectangular and round. Gator hatches sell for $125. the sale is limited to volume item sales for simplicity sake
