WSB Heads!

I was listening to "Let's Talk Hook Up" ( http://www.hookup1090.com/ , you can hear many of the past episodes at this link) this weekend and they had a guy on the show from the Hubbs SeaWorld Research Institute. They were talking about WSB and how turning in the heads can help provide them with information about the status of the fish they release and where they travel ect. See the link below to find out where to take your WSB head if you are lucky enought to get one. I am still waiting, waiting, waiting...

Beginning in 1986 scientists at Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute started releasing cultured white seabass into coastal waters in southern California. Each fish is tagged internally in the cheek with a small, stainless steel coded wire tag (CWT). The purpose of this tag is to identify hatchery-reared fish from wild individuals. This CWT is not visible externally on the fish and can only be located by a specialized detection device

So when you hook that pig this spring freez the head and drop er off....
