Looking for some good news
With that in mind, I will ask the question that many would probably like to ask. Has anyone had any recent luck, (other for Skallywag)? LJ, O-Side, Cardiff, Mission Bay or the Big Bay are all possibilities for me. If you have anything to report, please chime in. Thanks, Bob |

Supposedly there was a huge pod of whales, (over 100) recently spotted off of Long Beach heading south. Maybe they have made it here by now. Bob |

Surfed blacks this morning. Other than the rifling overhead tubes there were squid pushed up into like 10 feet of water and dolphins fornicating everywhere. Lots of bait and birds up there too... just dont get to close to shore

ohhh Bob.....X2 what echo said....GET OUT THERE!
Really, I'm afraid your story is true for alot of us....its been pretty dead for weeks (months?), unless of course you like calimari, spanish macks and rockfish (all excellent table fair). With the weather this nice, tons of good bait , and multiple grey whales coming thru daily why not make a day out of it? |

O'side fishin
Bob, We've done fairly well on the Bass using plastics around the artificial reefs due west of O'Side harbor. Talked to another guy this morn, said he got a 150lb thresher with a live mack just north a few miles a couple days ago.
Fish are there, lots of bait too. Just have to go get-um. Let me know, I'm usually up for a peddle and some fishin. Keith |

I agree with Kaijuu.
Flatfish and I went out Saturday to the O-side Artificial reefs and did great with the larger swimbaits and fresh dead squid. Large Sandies and Calicos to be had, with lots of bait in the water. Good Luck, Big J
