Yakster, Nice fish..
Word of caution in using a "trout" stringer for your fish. Make sure the ring is welded! I lost a 25lb. class fish after it straightened out the ring.

i'm a firm believer of circle hooks.. ringed circle hooks even better!!!
but....
study that photo of the YT's mouth!
the hook set from the outside in???!!!!
i've had so many circle hooksets that were so unexplainable, as in "how the hell??"
i've had many outside to inside hooksets, even had one on the upper lip that was outside to inside...
can someone explain??
think about it..
-fish eats bait
-we let fish swallow it and take it down before we click into gear
-we let circle hook find it's way out and into the jaw as fish is running away

how does the hook set from the outside in??

Nelz, you think too much. There's two types of hooksets, those that hold and those that don't. See you tomorrow?
