For me it's all handheld. I have a panasonic pocket camera in a waterproof bag that I use for both video and stills. If I don't bring that I use my iPhone in a waterproof bag.

camera
my wife bought me a Tachyon XC HD compact video camera for christmas. i took it out for the first time today and the thing is sweet. It is waterproof to 100' and seems to be built tough. the video it took was excellent. If I wasn't so bad on the computer i would post some video of today on the big bay. i made a elevated stand out of pvc that looks like a mini saw-horse. On the the cross bar I put a clamp on mountain bike stem that acts as the camera mount.
