98...99...100
several of our boys really like to go to the lakes and whack the trout... we are always sharing stories and pictures of our adventures... them with their tales of trout and bass at the lakes.. and me with my kayak chronicles and various ocean excursions... the boys have never been on a boat in the ocean... that was all about to change... my business partner and I decided to have a Private Charter Aboard the Aloha Spirit... a Christmas gift to our hard working employees who yearn to try the salt... here are the lake boys! I was a little , no...alot...worried about the seasickness factor... as it turned out they all did fine...only one casulty...nuthin' a good barf didn't cure though... fishing was kinda slowish at first, but the rockfish soon started coming over the rail... this is Juan...the smile says it all...pricless! he was on fire... and Kyle with a nice specimen... the best part of the day for me was this... most all of the guys were doing good...except for Rodolfo... all morning...nothing but finger puppets.... he just couldn't get a bigger fish to bite... even I was getting disouraged for him... then it happened, the fish gods smiled upon him... he brought up a 3 lb red and the JP winning chucklhead (5.25lbs)... I almost shed a tear I was so happy! and what fishing Charter would be complete without Mr. Pierpont... he brought his guys too...and Sammy (middle) won the second place JP... a good time was had by all...I think they like the ocean now! Day 99 Tuesday 12-14-10 the usual... short three hour session before the phone rang with work and I had to get off the water... managed 2 sandies, 2 calicos, and 1 sculpin... I made it.... Day 100 Thursday 12-16-10 (shoulda been day 101 if not for the MLPA mtg yesterday, mo fockers!) decided to practice my striper skills one more time as Castaic... the launch... the weather was perfect all day! long day on the water for only two fish landed and one missed strike... one 3 lber that I dropped back in the water before the pic...ooops... and this one...6 lbs...caught on the AC plug... I have the next week off, but it's looking like the weather is gonna git ugly...may have to stay in and have grilled cheese and tomato soup... untill the next outing.... |
