The way I understand it, it was because it was too confusing for the public to use the boundary line that basically cut the pier in half. So it was moved to the South to cover all of the pier.

Then they will get the finger.

Seriously though, a huge shout out to all that have put in the time to prevent us from losing even more.

I can't wait to try out my new sabiki with the trap hook for some of the larger models of bait near the pier.

Thanks to PAL and Bob for all their effort. I know it's not over!

MPLA= AL GORE / Global Warming Scam! (Yes supporters of MLPA - you feed off the effluent that flows into the ocean that you say you are out to protect)

You will have to TRY to pry my fishing pole from my cold dead hand to keep me from fishing.

Those wouldn't be the flat types of bait would they?

Honestly though until this thing is put into law, and the DFG figures out how to patrol it, isn't all of this a year or two away from going into effect? There will be a lot of court battles and such going on and I really don't see any of this happening at least for 3 years if at all. I think the State has more important things to worry about than trying to close down fishing areas to protect whatever may be living down below.

Just fish where you want to fish. They cant enforce this. The laguna green police and do gooder moms have not legal juristiction to do anything but whine and cry.

The good side of the meeting i will say is that all the laughs from Lag Hags (well put by andy) kept us laughing.

"i even question my own existance and carbon footprint" classic... she lived on a house boat and said shes seen the whole world from it i guess.

One gal, "i was raised a fisherman and my son is interested in fishing, and im in support of the mlpa and maximum closurs becuase whenever i take him fishing ill be darn that i can never catch him a fish" As she waked away she gave her big hug to all her enivormental disorder ward and continued out the door. yeah right lady... the only fish shes ever seen is inbetween h...

It was interesting to see that there was Park Ranger officials who had showed up lobbying for some of that money.

This process was a shame.

Guys, we have at least a year before these go into effect. There's all kinds of red tape, and maybe a court action or two first.
