Nice,
I have signed up for the 2.5 day to SCI. Stoked to see lots of fish are caught every year. I was referring to local launches. Any yellows caught that were not caught from LJ? Solana, Enc, Oside, Carlsbad, San O, etc. Just wondering. |

Other than LJ, just a few from SCI on the Islander and that other lil boat we used to use, yet to get my Catalina YT, Cabo got one near Parsons Landing on the front side on the Rebel trip.

Yes.
SanO, DP and Aliso. Nothing over 11# personally, and in the Summer when the schoolies come up the coast --something that did not happen this Summer.

Thats pretty much what I was wondering. It was my first real summer at the sport, it was a terrible year. I didn't know if it was common for them to cruise the coastline/kelp during those warm summer months. Thanks

I think THIS shot should be your avatar. How many of us can have a shot of ourselves from a chopper!!!??? AND while holding a YT - who cares of the size.

Lots of yak fishers think YT only live in LJ. I have caught most of mine there because thats where I have fished the most and they are there year round, usually. But YT get around, I've caught them north and south of Oceanside harbor, off Carlsbad, Swamis/Encinitas, and Solona Beach. Don't get locked in to location. Mike
