Too much free time?

NEVER.......but my cat thinks so......I really like the underwater shots people have posted with their Go Pros and thought I would make an attachment to my gaff where I can film some underwater action and record my poor gaffing skills all in one.....I'm hoping to catch multiple fish in baja and just looking for different ways to catch the action......I may need to move it higher up on the gaff but time will tell......amazing what you can do with a pool noodle and duct tape My wife thinks I'm trying to donate my third Go Pro to the Pacific but duct tape has never failed me in my entire life

Great idea, just hope that it doesnt cut off, personally I wouldnt count on duct type. There must be a way to mount it using some sort of clamps, straps, or even screws, hope it works for you, thx for sharing.

it has an attachment device under the duct tape (curved surface adhesive mount) that comes with the GoPro and looks really secure .....so the attachment device and the duct tape would have to fail but with my luck...well, maybe I'll add a leash of some sort

There are a few different grades of Duct Tape.

The Heavy Duty - All Weather is made on a waterproof backing. (Orange Color Label) Its Good insurance.

How about some quality hose clamps, or stainless steel safety wire?

BTW, I recommend a landing net for cats. The gaff tends to damage the meat.

Check the firmware update for the GoPro. They now have a way to invert the picture so you can film with the camera upside down without having to edit the video later. they also have a one button filming option now too.

this is awesome... you can make this an all round thing. after Running it for the gaff shot you can use it for the above water shots during the fight. Im inspired to make one now!

Of course I would never reccommend gaffing a cat, but I think the gaff cam could have some on-land applications and possibly could of been useful for these guys?

hey, if its good enough for macgyver, its good enough for us mere mortals.

Duct tape fixes everything, but Chuck Norris fixes duct tape.

typical cat. they look at you with total disgust....its a proven fact that cats are the divas of the animal kingdom.

I think your cat was looking at you thinking where the hell is my fish! "Dad, who cares about the box thing - gimmee feesh!"

Good idea. I was thinking about a quick clip to attach the camera fast to almost any thing dowel shaped. Fishing pole/gaff/net
