Flexx-Rap Finger Protection Tape Wrap

Its a blue flexible material. You'll find it at pretty much any tackle shop.

You can also tilt the reel from side to side as you're cranking till you get to your mono.

Like deepdvr said you can find it at most tackle shops. It looks something like this.

You can buy the same stuff for much less at a pharmacy or drug store, though it is not blue.

Tilt the rod/reel slightly sideways. If you see it building up on the right side turn it slightly left and it will start to wind on the left side. I learned to do this on my boat when I used to fish deep water.....works every time.

HAND PROTECTION

If you like that flexi Veterinarian-tape route , go to:
Mary's Tack & Feed in Del Mar. The cheapest place!!
You can get a HUGE roll of it for 1/16 the price, and cut it to your own thickness & it comes in every color!
3675 Via Del La Valle
Del Mar, CA 92014

Here is my shameless plug from my latest Sponsor, BUFF!
If you want to go the Cadillac route, and not have to rewrap several times during the day, and want even more hand protection,
plus UPF 50 Sun protection for your whole hand, try out the:
BUFF "Fighting Work Glove"!!

You can order them here:
http://www.planetbuff.com/Fighting-W...ove-Gray-Scale

(Blue Water Tackle - Solana Beach, also has them in stock)

This is an extremely well thought out design for Kayak Fisherman, and comfortable all day long.
