quiet day at lake la jolla

Wanted to fish the afternoon as we had a bit too much to drink last night. Got to LJ at about noon. Launch was fine. Lots of clouds today and I think that little Low we are getting into played a role in slowing things down a bit today. Lots of bait pushing around. Birds were diving on scattered bait, nothing was really balled up nicely. Saw one really nice spot of fish come up and break for about 2 minutes like we've been seeing them do for the last few days. They sank out just before I could toss an iron in there. One of my baits got picked up and dropped. Saw one yakker got one though so that's good! Also saw a big pod of dolphins and even some whales which was pretty rad. Really light crowd in the afternoon.

Water was about 61-62. Red tide was out there but where it wasn't, the water looked good. Spot of fish I saw was in about 70 feet of water.

No pics b/c no fish. Just wanted to give you the "dope" as some other forums may say...
