Fishing Saturday 5/1

I was hoping to hit LJ Saturday AM but just checked the wave forecast. it looks like it is coming down from over six feet. Did anyone go out today? Was the surf manageable?

Please let me know so I can set my alarm appropriately.

Bob

... from Torrey Pines

I was at TP late this afternoon - if this is of any help - as I watch the surf (with my line in the water...) and seeing the many sets crashing so far in the distance, I keep thinking to myself: This is why no one launches from TP - can't imagine ever taking a kayak out in this stuff. It was rough.

Bob....I'm guessing you'll be the only person on the planet fishing on Saturday April 31. Let me know how it goes.

Hope it comes down tomorrow.. I drove to the launch today, and it was not ideal. Surf was 4-6 ft range at the launch with minimal breaks between sets and lots of wind.. Wasn't worth it for me, especially if conditions on the outside were worse.

Will be watching to see how things are looking tomorrow.

Went to bed last night with a 102 degree fever. It was worse this morning. Not wanting to be a candidate for this week's Darwin award, I stayed in bed. Maybe next week.
