You can get ghost shrimp out of the bays and lagoons but all you need is a shrimp pump and some waders or rain boots. They work well as live bait.

Here is an article how to build your own

Here you go if you want to purchase one, I think some of the local tackle stores have them too.

I was actually extremely fortunate enough to talk to Mr. Howard Mckim from Alaska at LJ shores the other day about exactly just that!!!He says thats probably one of the best tasting things he prepares from all the available goodies at his disposal....
Funny how that even happened..I launched at the shores at 4am the other day and found a fishing yak vest laying around ina pile of kelp at high tide and retuned in the afternoon to post later on BWE I found a vest, but when I landed this guy comes up to me and says his name is Howard and if I had seen a vest & how asked how the fishin' was..

( I think thats the video below your referring to?)

I have mistakenly gotten some in my bug hoopin trips!..u can use the various minnow traps also for them, Try to keep the openingrelatively small enough to discourage unwanted bigger guests.. What actually worked well for me in at least in Miami, was the addition of lights, it attracts them suckers like you wouldnt believe!..

You little shrimp

In search of your own shrimp?Googled shrimp traps to find many available but it seems that there are some F&G regs to follow ,different trap regs for different states,so I suggest you do a little research.Good Luck on your quest for tasty tid bits. Riskey Water
