Splash jackets

What do you guys use when launching in the surf so you won't get drenched? Is there a local shop in san diego that sells waterproof jackets? -I hate it when my tits get wet!

I bought one at sports authority for 30 bucks and it works really good. if you put it on over the top of your wadders or splash pants.

I wear a water proof suit made by Gill. They're kinda like overalls but for kayaking. The ankles have velcro that cinch up to keep the water out. Over that I have an Extrasport paddle jacket to keep my torso and arms dry. The neck and wrists also tighten up to keep out water. They are really easy to take of once it gets warm out.

I bought a $20 rain jacket in the sporting goods section at Walmart that works fine. Works good while hooping also.

Local shop is OEX. The folks that bring you this wonderful website with the Webcam and all....

The new NRS Endurance Jackets are really nice. Do youself a favor and get a true paddling jacket. I just did this after 8 years of using gortex hunting jackets. the Neoprene cuffs and neck make a HUGE differance.

I won my paddle jacket in a tournament. However, I have seen the same kind at Fastlane Sailing Center in Mission Bay. I'd assume OEX would also have them in their shop too, but since I don't go there I can't say for sure.

You might also try going to the clearance section of the Online Store, they have an Extrasport paddle jacket on sale. It looks like a pretty good buy.
