Info on body found in LJ

A kayak fishermen found a floater off La Jolla Cove this morning. My neighbor works at one of the local newsrooms and was trying to locate that kayaker for an interview.

I dont know any details about cause of death, just that a body was found this morning.

Anybody know what happened?

I was out there this morning, launched at 6ish and landed at 11ish and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

I just saw this on the news a few minutes ago. No details, except that a kayaker found the body.

I'm the guy that found him. I came across him around 4:30 in front of the condo. Thought it was a seal at first, and then the realization set in. Lifeguards said they got a call about a suicide a couple days ago. It looked like he had been in the water for a long time. Not really anything I could do. Cioppino, I'll pm you my contact info if you your neighbor wants some more details. I spoke with Channel 8 briefly.

was it a black hump in the kelp? I might of seen it but wasn't too curious to paddle to it.

fortunately nothing like your experience scallywag, but what REALLY sucked was I had to hang onto him for 15-20 minutes until the lifeguards arrived because of the wind and swell...
