DP- Yesterday
My guests were new to ocean fishing, one was new to fishing. They indicated they wanted to fish in the kelp because that's where they were told the fish were. So off we went. We got to the kelp area and within 10 minutes they were ready to try somewhere else. They were only out for a four our trip so I took them over to the pipeline, were they caught several bass, and stopped in the harbor on the way in where they got a couple of spotties. Not a bad day at all, I enjoyed the day.

Hey Dave will the Bass and Halibut keep biting there in DP right through the winter or does it shut off soon?

I've caught bass there all year, just a little harder in the winter. As for the Halibut, they seem to come and go with spring being the best time but they can be there all year as well, just gotta figure them out.
