There's plenty of bait just outside the harbor.

David they still sell bait and currently have sardines at the barge. $40 a scoop, the barge is open for selling of bait from about 630 to 9am. The barge is manned to bait up the half-day boat and stays open for a little while afterward to sell to private boaters.

Ok

My answer is:

No and I don’t know and if they’re closed there’s plenty of bait right outside the harbor.

Bait

Hey David
Good seeing you at the launch the other day…
The best way to get the TRUE info (the above info is Not completely correct) is to call Uli at the redondo Sportfishing office Sometimes they have bait on the bait boat in the slip in front of the office if no one is out at the receiver…
Just give em a call the day before…🤙🏽

You're welcome David. BTW, The info. in my answer came from Redondo Sportfishing landing at 1-310-372-2111. Back in the '70s when Lester manned the phone, that was my favorite landing. The child fare on the half-day boat was $3.50. Half fare was $5.50 to go to Catalina on the Mascot IV 3/4 day boat. Even back then, It seemed like an incredibly cheap fare. I eventually became one of many Redondo Special apprentices that later went on to work on Pedro boats. It's good to see that the Redondo Special is still running. I don't think they are in business to tell customers things that aren't TRUE.
