This is the reports forum where fishermen come to report about their day on the water. Your question would draw more replies on the general kayak fishing forum. While yours are good questions they are nothing new - they have been asked and answered many times before - do a search and see for yourself.

It's slow winter fishing
Fish are usually caught in deeper water in winter
Whatever you catch for bait on a sabiki rig usually mackerel I use 2/0 ringed hooks with a 4oz egg slider this time of year

I can use all of the clues that I can get. I do not live in San Diego so my fishing time at La Jolla is limited. I appriciate the ones that are willing to pass along good information.

This is your info you will mostly need for this time of year, however, other techniques may also work. Tis the season to YOYO.
