Hi.
I am going to buy a kayak and start fishing from it. I think I have done my homework and have decided on the NuCanoe 12.5 Unlimited. I plan on rigging it with an electric trolling motor. No peddling or paddling for me. I’m too old and impatient. I will concentrate my time on the local lakes for bass, (and stripers)…maybe even start competing…and then my yearly pilgrimage to the Sierras for trout. Eventually, once my boat skills are able I might even try a beach launch and get me a yellow! In the meantime I’ll look to the forum for advice and entertainment, maybe even offer a few thoughts of my own….thnx. gooch |

Welcome, I'm not a big fan of the deep channels on the deck of that boat, doesn't look very comfortable to move in and that curve profile deck doesn't look great to stand on. $2000 also seems a lot for a non peddle drive kayak, beside that it looks like a decent platform for fishing.

if you plan on using nothing less than a trolling motor I would look for a dingy instead
