Art? - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Saw this while surfing the pier on Sunday. I've enjoyed this guy's wire thingies for several years, placed randomly around the UCSD campus. Not sure exactly what he is trying to say with this one, using bait to catch bait. Maybe I'll invite him over for a fish dinner to discuss more....

If I were you I wouln't invite him/her . . . the very point of this kind of art is to question . . . leaving the answer to the person watching it. It confused me too, but then again, there are only two ways to interpret it. Again, it is up to oneself to evaluate and understand the message. Don't kill the charm by trying to find the author . . . let it be baby!

The surf looks pretty good though. Not being a surfer, I've never seen the pier from that angle...cool pic.
