2nd Trip on The New Jon Boat / Decker Lake, TX
Anyway did some recon on Decker lake as it is less then 30 minutes from the casa and hit it Saturday morning. Pee soup fog at 6:00 so we motored out slowly to "THE SPOT". Unfortunalty there were about 6 boat at the spot so we went to plab B. After 2 hours for nada we went back to "THE SPOT" and only one tin boat there so we slide in and shortly after had it to ourselfs for 2 hours. Every 20 minutes or so wolf packs of LMB would push shad into the reeds and under the bridge ledge and there were explosions and sounds I have only heard when saltwater fishing back in Cali. Long story short. My son was 3 for 5 and I hooked 3 slabs and landed 2. All on white fluke baits. Just like tuna fishing. You would see the fish bust up on top and throw into the chaos hoping to get bit. Stayed there for 2 hours and called it a day. Great 2nd trip on the jon-boat...Oh yeah snapped a couple pole swinging on fish today... v2.jpg v3.jpg v4.jpg v.jpg Last edited by Tandem Assassin; 09-28-2020 at 09:46 AM. |
