Short HH Trip

Meet Andy at his shop and hit the water at 6:00. The water was so dirty that you could hardly read the name on the paddle when it was in the water. With the little tide movement, dirty water and Andys slow day on Sunday I wasn't expecting much. Got out the Uni Butter after we got down by the PCH bridge and started working the shallow areas. First fish was a 10 inch calico under the bridge then 2 spotties in the shallow water along the preserve. This was the biggest of the day

The fish hit the blade did not stick than the rod doubled over and the fight was on.
Headed back at about 8:00 fishing the docks on the way ended up picking a nice spottie that tried to pull me into one of the docked boats. Of the water by 9:00 better fishing than I would have expected after a rain.
