in satellite view you see a small patch of beach in between escondido bch road and Malibu Cove Colony just south of Geoffrey's.
Small gate by bus stop.It you sneeze while driving, you'll miss it!!

I have often thought of launching from Escondido Beach.
What do you do off load the kayak by the gate and then park across the street?
As that looks like the only safe place to park.
If anyone is up to do a launch for here let me know I would be up for it.

Love fishing Escondido Beach.
Parking is sometimes a pain in the @$$, but not too bad especially if you get there early.
This place can get really fishy.
Although, avoid it for a few days after a rain storm.
Some pretty nasty stuff comes down the creek.

the problem with that spot is that the gate is closed until sunrise and you depend on some guy to show up to unlock it he is sometimes on time and sometimes comes late.

LMK if anyone wants to do Escondido this Saturday. Hopefully, someone willing to paddle/peddle some miles, I'd like to go try for some Rockfish.

Surfline calling 3-4 and also 2-3
Magic seaweed calling 1-2 and 2-3
Saw a Instagram post showing county line looking like shoulder to head high sets.
So Saturday is out for me. I am however going down there tomorrow to see how it takes a swell and access to the beach and parking.
Sunday is on the table but only till around 9:30 or ten at the latest.

Saturday was a breeze, Flat all day, launch was a little tricky 2-3 ft but conditions were sheet glass with good current.

Ended the day with 3 Vermillion Rockfish, 10 whitefish , 5 big sandbass and 1 calico.

Went home and made tacos.
